You heard it here first, the Grumpy Old Git is back in charge!!!
As from Monday 29th March 2010 New Cameo is back under the management of Geoff (you remember, the grumpy old git) Tummons. And for the next few weeks Geoff will be back in the hot seat answering those telephone calls.
And as with any new incoming government, he is promising "Change we can believe in". And the best change of all is that the wonderful Jo will take over the hot seat some time soon which could be as early as day one of the new administration. Change for the better then!.
And having a permanent presence in the shop will be better all round and Jo will be able to make sure that the web site is up-to-date as it is possible for a web site to be. Geoff being a stickler for accuracy and Jo being 100% reliable then this is welcome news for this industry. Some might say unique.
And regaining control also means the grumpy git will be spending plenty of time in his kitchen (out of bounds to all mere mortals) and as he loves to make a soup or other suitable snacks at lunchtime, you are more than welcome down to New Cameo to sample a bowl or a bite (once suitably recompensed of course). Geoff is a hard-up pensioner so it's not a free lunch and explains why he is so grumpy.
But tea and coffee are, as always, on the house so the old rules remain whereby you are all more than welcome to come on down, have a look round, meet the girls and sit and have a chat with everyone in reception. Is this a gentleman's club or a parlour?
We must also take this opportunity of wishing Chloe well in her new ventures and thank her for keeping the New Cameo tradition alive. She will no doubt be missed by all of those that knew her and, with few equals, was one of the most popular girls in Sheffield.
New Business Name
The observant ones amongst you will notice that the name of this parlour has changed to NEW CAMEO. Where possible the old traditions of the parlour will remain but something's have to change and at least we can limit that to the name of the establishment in the first instance.
And with a new business name we get a shinny new web page. Do you like the new web design? OK, so it's all a bit subtle and looks identical to the previous version but it's the content that counts. And if anything is wrong on any of our pages or any details are misleading then give us a ring on the above number or EMAIL us using our on-line form (keeping your identity secret) and air your grievances and let's see if we can make amends and produce an even better service.
New to New Cameo?
First, may we welcome you to parlour.co.uk, the web home of New Cameo, and hope you find the content of this web site useful and that you will become a frequent visitor.
What makes this site different? Well many things really and the first and most important of them is that this site is run by the girls for the girls. Three cheers to that I say. This means that what you read will be accurate, true and reliable. It also means that we can go deeper with our discussions and descriptions and bring an air of, dare I say it, respectability to the whole proceedings.
Open Door
From "day one", New Cameo has operated an open-door policy. Any client who enquiries about the services and staff at New Cameo receives the utmost courtesy and is urged to make a visit and have a look round and meet the girls.
There is NO admission charge, the door is open so come on up and have a chat with the proprietor and staff. If you would like a tour of the premises then you will be shown around the building by one of the girl's, which gives you time to ask any other questions that might be of interest to you.
And to welcome you still further, you will be offered a free cup of coffee, tea or whatever, and encouraged to sit down in the lounge and enjoy our company.
